According to ancient Turkish belief, the deer is a sacred being traveling between the earth and the sky. Especially the red deer is described as a carrier of divine grace (kut) assigned by God to guide people. The path of the person who sees it opens up, their heart calms down, and their intentions become clear.
Legend has it that when the tribes lost their way during migration times, a red deer would emerge from the fog and silently walk to show them the right direction. People would follow it and reach safe lands. Therefore, the red deer was considered the symbol of the right path and inner balance.
